
With 24 years of experience in estate agency and new homes, Tammy brings many skills ranging from managing projects and sorting out a crisis, to mediating between people who are in conflict and problem-solving. Her passion for enhancing the community, combined with her local knowledge, made her the ideal choice as an Orbit Property Manager.
Tammy is a parent to two teenagers with special needs, which has given her a deep understanding of the challenges many of our customers face. She’s got a great instinct for picking up on when someone might need that extra bit of support, and her personal experience allows her to authentically connect with customers who need support.
A Master of Organisation
One of Tammy’s key strengths is her ability to stay organised and juggle multiple tasks at once—essential skills for a Property Manager. She keeps a cool head even when there’s a lot going on, ensuring everything stays on track.
“Organisation is everything in property management,” Tammy explains. “Every day brings new challenges, from coordinating maintenance requests to supporting a customer who is going through a tough time, so staying organised is crucial to make sure everything runs smoothly.”
She adds, “I run a tight ship with my day-to-day tasks so that when something unexpected happens, or when someone needs to talk, I can focus on that right away.”
The Joy of Seeing Projects Through
For Tammy, job satisfaction comes from seeing projects through to completion—especially when the outcome is a positive one for everyone involved.
“The best part of my job is seeing a problem solved and knowing I played a role in making a difference,” she says. “Whether it’s sorting out a maintenance issue, helping out with a community project, or simply making someone’s day a little easier, I know that what I do really matters.”
Tammy adds “I really enjoy working alongside some of my colleagues, such as those in the Better Days team. I like to get involved with the pop up events in my area, as they provide a great opportunity to get to know the local people and to be on hand to answer customer queries.”
A Vital Link Between Customers and Orbit
Tammy is also dedicated to ensuring that communication between residents and Orbit is always strong. She acts as an important link, making sure that everyone feels heard, understood, and valued.
“I always keep residents informed about what’s happening with their issues,” she explains. “It’s important to me that our tenants know their concerns are taken seriously and that they’re kept in the loop.”
