Following a rise in dog attacks and fatalities involving XL Bully type dogs over the last few months, the government has added the breed to the banned dog breeds UK list, under the Dangerous Dog Act 1991. The ban comes into effect on 31 December 2023.
As a responsible housing provider, we have a duty of care to ensure the safety of all our customers, visitors, colleagues, and contractors. We are obliged to follow the government guidelines in relation to the ban on XL Bully and other dangerous dog breeds.
