Earlier this year, the garden at Barkers Herne, one of our Independent Living estates at Cromer in North Norfolk, underwent a transformation. The garden, which for many years had been so lovingly looked after by our customers, had started to become too physically demanding. After consultation with customers, we agreed to remove some of the floral borders and return them back to lawn.
With great partnership working between employees from Independent Living, Estate Services, Property Management and our contractors, Just Ask, our customers watched intently as the garden was transformed.
Many thanks to Independent Living’s Susan Gower and Joanne Barker, for not only getting their hands dirty, but engaging with customers to ensure they were happy with the progress. Luckily, the wet start to the summer was good news for the new lawn. The area is looking amazing and customers are delighted that their outside space is looking so neat and tidy.
A great example of how together, we can build thriving communities.
