Climate change is something that affects us all and we’re always looking for ways to help reduce our carbon footprint. At Carlton Court in Burton-on-Trent, we’ve partnered with Staffordshire County Council and a small enterprise called Forty Two, to install a moss wall that is taking an all-natural approach to tackling local air pollution. The idea is that the wall absorbs pollutants from the neighbouring busy road. It has a solar panel on the top that charges up a battery which in turn powers a watering system and air quality sensors. By using these sensors, we can compare nearby readings and demonstrate the positive impact the moss wall has on overall air quality. This is just one of the ways we are bringing positive change to places and communities!
